Campania Aglianico IGT of Terre D'aione , a red wine of great importance and prestige, which embodies the tradition and winemaking excellence of the region.

The grapes used to produce Campania Aglianico IGT are mainly Aglianico grapes , that is, a black grape variety that has been cultivated in the area for centuries.

This grape variety is known for producing wines of great structure , with a great complex flavor profile and a marked acidity.

  • Denomination: Aglianico Campania IGT.

  • Grape variety: 100% Aglianico.

  • Vineyard location: province of Avellino, in particular in Paternopoli and neighboring areas.

  • Vineyard exposure and altitude: south-east at 500/550m asl

  • Nature of the soil: mainly clayey, sandy, calcareous.

  • Vine training: espalier with Guyot or spurred cordon pruning.

  • Plant density: 3000 plants per hectare.

  • Area: 2 hectares.

  • Average age of the vine: 15 years.

  • Yield per hectare: 90q.

  • Vinification techniques: after destemming and crushing of whole grapes and maceration with the skins, for a few days with daily pumping over until racking and fermentation of the must in stainless steel containers.

  • Mallolactic fermentation: it is carried out after the alcoholic fermentation.

  • Refinement containers: steel tanks.

  • Aging 12 months approximately.

  • First vintage produced: 2006.
  • Pairings: it goes well with dishes with a strong personality, such as red meats, roasts, game and aged cheeses. It is also suitable for combinations with traditional Campania cuisine.
